Hurricane Michael

We left Monday afternoon, and headed to our favorite Florida beach on Anna Maria Island. After a two hour delay on I-77, we pulled into a campsite in Charlotte, NC at about 9:30 p.m. We knew hurricane Michael was on the way and were watching to see how it was going to affect our plans. After a lot of deliberation on Tuesday morning, we decided to be grownups and head away from the storm. So, we've been in Nashville since Tuesday. We found a great camping spot with a view. It's not the Gulf of Mexico, but it is a beautiful lake on the east side of town.

We've been here before, so we don't feel compelled to do a lot of sightseeing, but one thing we haven't done was visit all the honky tonks downtown on Broadway. We parked at the stadium, enjoyed the view from the bridge as we walked, and found a spot to listen to some live music for a few hours. There was a street party going on, which I think is a regular occurrence. Lots of people watching. The first group we saw was a pick-up band--all good musicians, I don't think the video does them justice, but you can judge for yourself . . ..
