One of the many beautiful birds that stop at the pond by our campsite every day. Dean Miller, can you identify from this pic?

For those of you craving a little time at the sea shore, enjoy! I haven't posted for awhile because we've been out enjoying the beach, but today is windy, damp, and cold making it a good day to catch up. Port Aransas is slowly but surely recovering from Hurricane Harvey. A lot more stores and restaurants have re-opened and and there's new residential construction everywhere. It's been fun seeing what's new and revisiting some favorites from last year.
We are settled in here for the month. We've made one trek over the dunes to say hello to the ocean and picked up our rental car (dune buggy), but we are huddled up out of the weather for a couple of days. There's a storm moving through with rain, temps in the 40s, and winds at 25 mph. Our RV feels a bit like a boat, swaying with the wind gusts. As much as I prefer being outdoors, it's not bad to have a day or two for reading and movies.
