Headed to Nashville Thursday afternoon to avoid the winter storm due to arrive in Cbus on Friday. Not sure why we thought a winter storm in Tennessee would be easier to navigate than one in Ohio. Rookie mistake. About noon on Friday on our way to Memphis, we stopped at a truck stop because the roads were getting really bad. Turns out we got off a mile before a 16 truck and 8 car pile up on Route 40 that shut everything down for about 12 hours. http://whnt.com/2018/01/12/multiple-crashes-shut-down-portion-of-i-40-in-tennessee/. God was with us! We spent the last 24 hours here, with a whole lot of other people, safe and warm. We appreciate the shelter that was afforded us. Truck stop life is safe, warm, and entertaining 24 hours a day.
